North West Amateur Championship 2009 Rules
Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult/Associate or Junior Associate Members who are not in the top 100 BSJA Ranking List 316
Chester 3-5th July 2009– 3 Qualifiers
Bolesworth 10-12th of July 2009-3 Qualifiers
Southview 17-19th of July 2009– 1 Qualifier
Aintree 24-26th of July 2009—3 Qualifiers
There will be points awarded from 1st to 10th place at each of the qualifying competitions (10)
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st-10, 2nd-9, 3rd-8, 4th-7, 5th-6, 6th-5, 7th-4, 8th-3 ,9th-2, 10th-1.
The Ultimate North West Amateur Championship Qualifier to be held on the final day at Aintree will carry double points.
In the events of equality of places the points will be added together for both places and divided equally.
The North West Amateur Champion will be the Rider/Horse combination that amasses the most points over all 10 qualifiers.
In the event of equality after all 10 qualifiers, the champion will be the highest placed Rider/Horse in the ultimate qualifier.
The winning rider will receive hospitality for two at the John Smith’s Grand National Meeting in the Bulmer’s Old Weighing Room, including seats, on Grand National Day, Saturday 10th April 2010, plus prize money of £150. The runner up will receive hospitality for two at Chester Racecourse, on one of the following race days either 22nd August or 26th September 2009 and a prize of £115.

Entry to the Owners & Riders Lounge on Saturday evening before 9.30pm will be tickets only.
Directions:
Due to access restrictions, all HGV vehicles and horse boxes must approach via A41 Milton Green. Milton Green is located approx 7 miles south of Chester on the A41.
If travelling from the south or east, Milton Green is located approx. 2.5 miles north of Broxton roundabout (junction of A534 and A41. Access to the showground will not be permitted from any other direction.
Follow signs to showground and on arrival follow stewards' directions.

Competitors may not arrive between the hourse of 2200 hrs and 0600 hrs without prior arrangement with the Show.
