Welcome to the Bolesworth Showjumping Classic in Cheshire
The popularity of the Bolesworth Show Jumping Classic 2010 had exceeded all our expectations and we are getting a lot of positive feedback from the participants and visitors alike. A special thank you must go to all our wonderful sponsors and supporters that made this event possible. We hope everybody had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Exciting developments for 2010 include the running of the first Bolesworth Castle Eventing Grand Prix sponsored by Liverpool Volkswagen. This will be by invitation only and will run on the Thursday afternoon of the show. A selection of the country's top event riders and show jumpers will be competing for a prize fund of £6,000 providing a great feast of equestrian entertainment.
As you can see, The Bolesworth Classic is expanding. Now running over four days it promises to offer visitors a great day of entertainment. Apart from showcasing top riders competing for £58,000 Prize Fund, there will be a Fine Food and Craft Marquee with food producers and cookery demonstrations, dog shows, live music, fairground rides and a shopping village.
Our VIP Hospitality Marquee is set in the grounds of Bolesworth Castle, beautifully decorated and overlooking the main Castle Arena and has its own sun-terrace to watch all the exciting action. The hospitality packages are now available, so you can pre-book yours and have a very special day out.
We are planning a Fun Friday, a family day out on 16th July where 2 adults with children get free entrance and priority parking. It's a perfect opportunity for school trips as well. All the children will have a lot of fun. This is what we have organised for them: cooking on stage with a Masterchef of Great Britain, Brian Mellor, pony rides, Newfoundland dog show, Britain’s got talent stars: Kate & Gin, archery, fairground rides, Punch & Judy, face painting, theatre show, chocolate, ice-cream and candy floss. My vision is to continue to build on the first two successful years, taking advantage of the beautiful setting of our family home, Bolesworth Castle, home to the Barbour family for 150 years, to provide a feast of equestrian entertainment and encompassing the European ethos, to make showjumping more accessible and welcoming for equestrian and non-equestrian enthusiasts alike.
The Bolesworth Classic Team is working hard to make 2010 even better than last year. Attention to detail and the fabulous support of our Sponsors, Competitors and Exhibitors is the key to our success and we look forward to welcoming them and you to Bolesworth.
